Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data Watch Flow processes, why it is processed, and how Google sign-in and Google Calendar sync are handled.
1. Data controller
Watch Flow is a web application that helps users schedule YouTube videos, manage recurring watch slots, and optionally sync planned videos with Google Calendar.
For privacy questions, deletion requests, or any data-related request, you can contact us at contact@watchflow.app.
2. Data we process
- Account information: name, email address, profile image, and sign-in identifier provided by Google.
- Workspace data: added YouTube URLs, titles, thumbnails, scheduled dates, watch progress, recurring slots, language, and notification preferences.
- Google Calendar sync data: connection status, granted scopes, OAuth tokens required to keep the connection active, identifiers for Google events created by Watch Flow, and metadata for events generated from your scheduled videos.
3. Why we use this data
- To create and manage your Watch Flow account.
- To schedule videos and display your workspace, scheduler, and analytics.
- To create, update, and delete Watch Flow events in your primary Google Calendar when you enable sync.
- To send reminders and transactional messages related to your scheduled videos when those features are enabled.
- To protect the service, provide support, maintain the application, and prevent abuse.
4. Google Calendar and Google API data
If you enable Google Calendar sync, Watch Flow requests the permission https://www.googleapis.com/auth/calendar.events so it can create, update, and delete Watch Flow events in your primary Google Calendar.
In its current implementation, Watch Flow uses this access to manage the events it creates for you from your scheduled videos. The application is not designed to analyze your calendar for advertising purposes or to sell your data.
Watch Flow's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
5. Legal basis
We process your data to provide the service you request when you use Watch Flow. Google Calendar sync relies on your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by disabling sync or revoking access from your Google account.
Certain technical operations, such as security logging, abuse prevention, and service maintenance, rely on our legitimate interest in protecting the application and its users.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for behavioral advertising.
Data may be processed by technical service providers that help operate the application, database, transactional email delivery, and background jobs, strictly to the extent required to provide the service.
We may also disclose limited information when required by law, to enforce our rights, or to protect the security of the service and its users.
7. Retention
Account and usage data are retained while your Watch Flow account remains active and then for the limited period needed for legal obligations, reasonable backups, and support handling.
Google Calendar connection data is retained while the Google connection remains active or until you request deletion. You can also revoke Google access directly from your Google account security settings.
8. Security
Watch Flow applies reasonable technical and organizational measures to limit unauthorized access, protect service integrity, and restrict access to the people or technical components that need the data to operate the application.
9. Your rights
- Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
- Disable Google Calendar sync from inside the application.
- Revoke Google access at any time from your Google account.
- Contact us at contact@watchflow.app for any request related to your data.
10. Updates
We may update this policy to reflect service changes, legal requirements, or third-party integration changes. The update date shown at the top of this page is the reference date.
